PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for controlling feeding papers which are constituted so that a printing quality decrease can be prevented while a printing throughput decrease is avoided. SOLUTION: According to this paper-feeding control apparatus and this paper-feeding control method, the number of lines when a printing face of a printing paper included from an end part of the delivery side of a printing head to a hold position of a roller of the delivery side is printed is set as one cycle. Every time a printing process for one line finishes, a passed time is calculated by subtracting a time point when lines of one precedent cycle are printed from a time point when the printing process for the one line finishes. A wait time determination reference time is calculated by subtracting the passed time from a wait time calculation reference time which is a time for the ink to permeate or dry enough as required to the printing paper. Whether or not the wait time determination reference time is a positive value is judged. Only when the wait time determination reference time is the positive value, it is ordered to set a wait time by a value equal to the wait time determination reference time before a succeeding paper-feeding operation after the line is finished with the printing process.
