PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, with which identity authentication is performed by utilizing biological information, without making an authentication target person an aware thereof and can be performed softly and easily for the authentication target person, a manager and an operator at a low cost. SOLUTION: Concerning the identity authentication system for deciding whether the authentication target person is a proper person while utilizing the biological information, information on registered target persons, such as face print information, is previously registered in a database. When executing the authentication, an individual is specified by recording the facial image of the authentication target person having an IC card, extracting face print information, evaluating relevance ratios with the face print information of the registered target person corresponding to an identification symbol in the IC card. Furthermore, extracting a voiceprint from voices and evaluating the relevance ratios with voiceprint information. Additionally, these relevance ratios are multiplied and evaluated, and further, the agreement of personal ID information with the IC card contents is evaluated together, so that the individual is specified. When the individual is specified in the middle, subsequent steps are omitted. |
