PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion heater capable of confirming an operation state clearly and easily. SOLUTION: The combustion heater comprises an operation part 2 to effect operation of an apparatus; an operation switch 37 to indicate operation/stop of an apparatus; and a non-extinction timer means 34 to effect automatic extinction of flame when a given time elapses. A display apparatus 46 is formed that an operation lamp 40 lighting OFF according to OFF-operation and displaying that it is in an operation state is situated in the vicinity of the operation switch 37 and it is displayed by lightening that combustion is effected and when the count time of the non-extinction timer means 34 reaches in short of a specified time of a given time, it is preliminarily announced by flickering that automatic extinction of flame is carried out.
