PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a textile development management system capable of obtaining a sample of prototype and preventing repeated development by referring to the past development history. SOLUTION: This textile development management system is provided with sample racks 111, etc., for sorting and saving samples of the prototype of the past trial textile, a textile data storage means 23 for making the textile data of the sample of the prototype into a data base and storing the same, keyword input means 211, etc., for inputting a keyword for retrieving information to retrieve the concerned data and extract the same from the storage means, a textile data retrieving means 24 for retrieving matching data from the storage means according to the retrieval information, and a sample of prototype select means 25 for selecting a management number of the sample of the prototype of matching data or similar data among the samples of the prototype saved n the sample rack 111. In this system, the respective means except the sample rack 111 are connected through a network.
