PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a user to efficiently manage an image forming device in terms of, for example, placing an order for a consumable part and to make it easy for a service man to manage the image forming device in terms of, for example, rewriting information stored in the image forming device. SOLUTION: After delivery from a factory, a dealer independently writes order placement information and so on required for replacement of a cartridge into the memory of an IC card, which is mounted in the cartridge to be replaced. The image forming device in which the cartridge is set reads the information from the memory. When time to replace the cartridge is near at hand, the image forming device shows the read information onto a display part of the main body of the device. The dealer prewrites the contact address of the dealer and the price of the cartridge, and so on, which are simple information display provided by only the dealer. This makes it easy for a user to easily place an order. |
