摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel movement conversion mechanism capable of dispensing with rocking of a connecting rod, and capable of comactifying its size while securing a stroke for a reciprocating motion, by adopting sliding structure in a movement conversion mechanism between the reciprocating motion and a rotating motion, and to enhance space efficiency in various devices, in particular a cylinder device, including the mechanism so as to compactify the devices. SOLUTION: The cylinder device 10 has a cylinder 11, the reciprocating motion body 12 provided with a piston part 12a constituted freely slidably along a prescribed direction (vertical direction shown in Figure) inside the cylinder 11 and a journal part 12b, and a rotary shaft 13 provided with a crank part 13a inserted into a lournal hole 12c formed in the journal part 12b. The hole 12c formed in the journal part 12b is provided with a slot cross-section of an extended shape extended along a direction substantially orthogonal to a reciprocating direction of the piston part 12a.
