PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positron emission tomography(PET) system having excellent quantitativeness by suitably correcting the influence of a scattering beam while improving the resolution of a reconstituted image and holding a good photon (γ-ray) pair detecting sensitivity. SOLUTION: A judging unit 52 judges whether a rectilinear line for connecting photodetecting surfaces of a pair of photon detectors for simultaneously detecting a photon pair crosses any of slice collimators 21n. Simultaneous count information judging that the line does not cross any of the collimators 21n is stored in a first simultaneous count information storage unit 53 and a signal sinogram is generated. Simultaneous count information judging that the line crosses any of the collimators 21n is stored in a second simultaneous count information storage unit 54 and a scattering sinogram is generated. The influence of a scattering component in the signal sinogram is corrected based on the scattering sinogram, and the image is reconstituted based on the corrected signal sinogram.
|
