PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric porcelain composition capable of being backed at <=950 deg.C, having a good mechanical properties and slightly lowering them at high-electric field driving, and to provide a small-sized piezoelectric transformer having high conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric porcelain composition is obtained by adding Mn in an amount of 0.5-2 mol% based on a composition represented by the compositional formula (PbuA1-u)v[(Zn1/3Nb2/3)xTiyZrz]2-vO3 (wherein, A is at least one kind of element selected from the group consisting of La, Nd, Pr, and Bi; and u, v, x, y and z satisfy each 0.92<=u<=0.99; 0.97<=v<=1.03; 0.06<=x<=0.18; 0.38<=y<=0.50; 0.32<=z<=0.50 and x+y+z=1) and expressed in terms of MnO2, Al in an amount of 0.2-1.2 mol% based on the composition and expressed in terms of Al2O3 and Cu in an amount of 0.3-2 mol% based on the composition and expressed in terms of CuO to the composition. |
