The invention relates to medicine, biotechnology, immunopharmacology and consists in correcting the condition of a patient affected by an autoimmune disease. In order to inhibit an autoimmune process, patients are cured by a specific desensitizing therapy using pharmaceuticals containing idiotype binding fragments of anti-idiotypic antibodies representing steric (immunochemical) analogs of target antigens which are applied regularly in small doses to the mucous tunic of a patient, for example in the form of applications or as a component of a rectal or vaginal suppository. The efficiency of correction is evaluated by means of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay consisting in adsorbing immunochemical analogs of an antigen (for instance, the anti-idiotypic antibodies against the given antigen or Fab2- fragments thereof) on a solid, followed by defining an immune reactivation of a serum antibody thereto. |
