PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having an easily producible nut-type reel seat. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is such that a nut 12 of the reel seat 3 is a cylindrical member and axially movable through screwing on a male screw 10c; a thread 5 is wound on the outer circumferential surface of a rod body 1 on the ear tip side of the male screw 10c so as to be about 20-40 mm in its axial length and be nearly coplanar with the circumferential surface of the male screw 10c as for its circumferential height, and the thread 5 is in a hardened condition by being impregnated with a synthetic resin such as an epoxy resin after wound, and thus the thread 5 itself, the rod body 1 and the thread 5 are in hardened condition with firm adherence together; and the thread 5 thus hardened secures, between it and a front grip 4, a space necessary when the nut 12 moves to the forefront ear tip side.
