<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a golf ball that helps increase the initial velocity and helps even a golfer whose head speed is not so high obtain a great carry by setting various conditions concerning dimples, the hardness of the core, the hardness of the cover and others. SOLUTION: This multipiece solid golf ball satisfies the conditions including (1) the number of dimples ranging from 360 to 492, (2) VR (volume occupancy factor) from 0.715 to 0.825%, (3) SR (area occupancy factor) of 70% or higher, (4) the value obtained by subtracting the JIS-C hardness of the surface portion of the core from the average JIS-C hardness of the cover ranging from 0 to 20, and (5) the initial velocity of over 77.7 m/s (255 ft/s).</p> |
