摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact material for a vacuum valve featuring cutting property and brazing performance while maintaining good current limiting performance and pressure proofing property, its production and the vacuum valve. SOLUTION: A metal mixed powder, formed by mixing a chrome powder having a particle size of 100μm or less and an oxygen content of 0.30%, a copper powder having a particle size of 74μm or less and a tellurium powder at the ratio of 45% by weight of copper, 4-10% by weight of chrome and tellurium in the rest, is compressed and molded into a columnar shape at a pressure of 98 MPa to obtain a compact 41. The compact 41 is set in a carbon container 43 with a disc copper block 42 placed at the lower side, and heated and cooled in a vacuum in a heating furnace which is constructed to start the coagulation of the copper from an upper side end face 41a of the compact 41 during cooling the compact 41. Heating is carried out at 1100 degrees C, followed by cooling so that the coagulation of the copper is started from the upper side end face 41a after the copper in the compact 41 and the block 42 is melted. Thus, an alloy material of copper, chrome and tellurium for the contact material for the vacuum valve is obtained.
