PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize excellent printing and the prolongation of the life of a drying belt by preventing a liquid medium from being excessively absorbed by the drying belt at the time of starting printing. SOLUTION: A liquid recovering means 5 is constituted of a nip roll 51 press-contacting with a driving roll 11, the drying belt 54 arranged between a photoreceptor belt 1 and the nip roll 51, a regen (regeneration) roll 52 paired with the nip roll 51 so as to hold the drying belt 54 and incorporating a 1st heat source, a cleaning roll 58 coming into contact with the drying belt 54, arranged on a downstream side from the photoreceptor belt 1 and incorporating a 2nd heat source, a housing incorporating and holding them, and an actuator 55 forming a gap between the photoreceptor belt 1 and the drying belt 54 by bringing the nip roll 51 press-contact with the driving roll 11 through the housing at the time of printing operation and releasing the press-contact of the nip roll 51 with the driving roll 11 at the time of standby. |
