PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having improved heat-resistance and usable as a bead filler and/or a side wall reinforcing layer of a tire and provide a pneumatic tire produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a bead filler and/or a side wall reinforcing layer of a tire contains (A) natural rubber and/or a synthetic diene rubber and (B) an acrylate. The pneumatic tire contains the rubber composition in the rubber reinforcing layer of a side wall and/or the bead filler of the tire.
