<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slime preventing method, capable of preventing the growth of microorganisms by generating an oxidizing agent by the electrolysis of chloride ions without the addition of an agent, and of easily and safely preventing the deposition of slime. SOLUTION: In this slime prevention method, voltage is applied to an electrode immersed in cooling water to generate and supply an oxidizing agent. At the preceding stage of applying the voltage to the electrode, water is made to pass through a hardness removing means.</p> |
