PURPOSE: A cathode mount structure for CRT electron gun is provided to simplify cost and manufacturing procedures, while obtaining a high assembly accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A cathode mount structure is characterized in that a field emission array(FEA) chip(33) corresponding to R,G,B fluorescent elements of a CRT is mounted onto a chip base plate(35), each chip base plate has a lead wire(36) for applying voltage to each FEA chip, and the chip base plate has a chip base plate supporter(46) for supporting the chip base plate, and which is coupled to an electron gun. The chip base plate is formed of a metallic material or an insulator, and has a hollow portion formed at the center of the chip base plate so as to allow EFA chips to be easily mounted. The lead wire, a gate electrode pad(47) arranged onto the EFA chip, and a focus electrode pad are electrically inter-connected.
