PURPOSE: A voltage and current transformer for power utility meter is provided to lengthen useful life of the transformer, while preventing environmental contamination by using insulating gas rather than insulating oil. CONSTITUTION: A voltage and current transformer comprises a container(1); three voltage and current transformer units(2) having a current transformer(21) and a voltage transformer(22) filled with an epoxy(23), and which are fixed at a predetermined spacing within the container; a non-combustible insulating gas(3) filling the space of the container except for the area where current and voltage transformer units are installed; the first terminal portion(4) installed to a spacer(41) and fixed to an outer surface of the container, and which interconnects input/output terminals of voltage and current transformer units and an external power line; the second terminal portion(5) contacting output terminals of voltage and current transformer units, and which is fixed at the outer surface of the container so as to be selectively connected to the power utility meter; a gas injection valve(6) installed at the outer surface of the container, and which fills the container with non-combustible insulating gas if needed; and a valve(7) fixed at the outer surface of the container, and which automatically opens when the gas pressure within the container increases to a level higher than a predetermined level so as to maintain constant gas pressure within the container.
