PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle basket with a theft proof mechanism performing excellent theft proof effect, avoiding to be stolen, excellent in appearance, and preventing to be soiled. SOLUTION: Slide guides 8 and 8a are disposed on an inner surface of a basket body 1 along both sides of a front surface 2 or a rear surface 3 to set an expansible cover 9 between the slide guides 8 and 8a. A lower end side of the cover 9 is fixed on the basket body 1 or the slide guides 8 and 8a and an upper end side is made to be free and provided with clips 11 and 12. When covering an opening 6 of the basket body 1 with the cover 9, a knob 13 is picked to draw up the cover 9 from the slide guides 8 and 8a to cover the opening 6 of the basket body 1 and the clip 12 is fastened at an upper end 3a of the rear surface 3. Thus, theft can be prevented.
