<p>A human CD81 transgenic nonhuman animal capable of amplifying HCV via HCV-infection which is useful in screening preventives/remedies for hepatitis C; and a nonhuman animal liver-origin cell with the expression of human CD81 capable of amplifying HCV via HCV-infection. This human CD81 transgenic nonhuman animal is obtained by microinjecting human CD81 gene into the male pronucleus of a fertilized nonhuman animal egg, culturing the egg cells thus obtained, then transplanting it into the oviduct of a nonhuman host, feeding the host carrying the transplanted egg cells, and then selecting an individual having the above-described human CD81 gene from among the offspring. The above established cell originating from nonhuman animal liver is obtained by transfecting established cells originating in nonhuman animal liver with an expression vector containing a cDNA, etc. encoding human CD81 together with a marker gene, and then selecting an established cell with the stable expression of human CD81.</p> |
