PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink jet recording sheet, not only prominent in aqueous ink jet recording characteristics without generating the eluation of any integrating resin, cationic resin or the like from an ink jet recording sheet in offset printing but also excellent thus in suitability for the offset printing. SOLUTION: The aqueous ink jet recording sheet, formed of a resin layer consisting of powder coating grain on a substrate as an ink receptor layer, is characterized by the powder coating grain consisting of a hydrophobic resin, a resin composition grain of average grain size of 5-30 μm containing an inorganic pigment of average grain size of 0.1-10 μm, and 1-10 wt.% of hydrophilic inorganic fine grain of average grain size of 1 nm-1 μm which is applied on the surface of the resin composition grain to coat the same, and a cationic substance connected chemically to the surface of the inorganic pigment to coat the surface of the same. In the same manner, the surface of the hydrophilic inorganic fine grain can be coated by the cationic substance. |
