PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellently versatile tool holder device surely regulating a tool holder so as not to rotate around the axis to a holder support and capable of using an existing tool. SOLUTION: The holder support 3 and a holder body part 20 of the tool holder 5 are provided with a rotation regulating mechanism 6 for regulating the tool holder 5 so as not to rotate around the axis to the holder support 3. The rotation regulating mechanism 6 is provided with a pair of upper and lower rotation regulating surfaces 30c formed in a rotation regulating ring 30 and a pair of upper and lower engaging surfaces 20c formed in the holder body part 20 of the tool holder 5 so as to be respectively engageable with these rotation regulating surfaces 30c.
