WASTE WATER TREATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treating method by an activated sludge treating device improved in such a manner that the generation of sludge may be remarkably lessened without giving rise to problems of malodors and water quality degradation. SOLUTION: The waste water treating method by the activated sludge treating device arranged with a treating vessel behind an anaerator consists in using the treating vessel provided with a fixed bed consisting of many sludge holding materials as the treating vessel described above, submerging the fixed bed into the waste water, aerating and agitating the waste water in such a manner that the air does not intrude into the fixed bed and passing the flowing water not containing air bubbles through the fixed bed.
