PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which the time to be elapsed before a transition is made to a low power mode can be determined automatically based on the details of use conditions, e.g. the type of operation causing reset to a normal power mode. SOLUTION: Upon elapsing a specified time after executing a normal power mode, execution of the normal power mode is released and a transition is made to a low power mode. In such an imaging apparatus F, when an operation command is received during execution of the low power mode and the normal power mode is reset from the low power mode, the specified time is determined based on the type and the execution frequency of that operation. |
