PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm valve readjustable at a low cost, dispensing with the complete detachment of a handwheel for the adjustment of a valve stopper for a valve stem. SOLUTION: This valve comprises a body including at least one weir 80 positioned between at least two ports; the valve stem 90 movably connected to a valve cover 20 and comprising a recessed part formed at a first longitudinal end part; a diaphragm 60 disposed adjacently to the second end part of the valve stem and bendable toward the weir by the valve stem; a handwheel 120 imparting torque to the valve stem and comprising a longitudinal aperture; and a screw by which the valve stem and the handwheel are held in relative longitudinal positions constant to each other through the longitudinal aperture and the handwheel abuts on the valve cover when the diaphragm is brought into close contact with the weir, so as to act as a movement stopper of the shutoff valve.
