<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key input device by which the character display of a keyboard can be changed according to an operator when a portable telephone, a portable terminal, etc., are used by changing their directions. SOLUTION: The key input device is constituted so that alphanumeric characters, etc., displayed on a liquid crystal panel 20 are visibly recognized by transmitting a transparent key sheet 16 and a transparent touch panel 12 by providing the liquid crystal panel 20 with a front light 18 (or the liquid crystal panel 20 with a back light) at a lower part of a keyboard part 24 of a casing 14 of the portable telephone, etc., providing the transparent key sheet 16 on the liquid crystal panel 20 with the front light 18 (or the liquid crystal panel 20 with the back light) and providing the transparent touch panel 12 on the key sheet 16.</p> |
