MICROSTRIP TO WAVEGUIDE TRANSITION STRUCTURE AND LOCAL MULTI-POINT DISTRIBUTION SERVICES SYSTEM USING SUCH TRANSITION STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A microstrip to waveguide transition structure and local multi-point distribution services system using the same is provided to reduce manufacturing cost and simplify the configuration of the system by allowing receiving transition unit and transmitting transition unit to have filter characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A microstrip to waveguide transition structure comprises a lower waveguide(280); a microstrip line extended from the lower waveguide in the crossed direction along E-plane of the lower waveguide, and which has an upper surface and a ground surface; a coupling slot(210) which is formed to cross the microstrip line within the width of the lower waveguide at the ground surface of the microstrip line; and a probe and transition matching pattern(220) formed at the upper surface of the microstrip line. A local multi-point distribution services system comprises an antenna; an antenna adaptor; a receiving transition unit having a waveguide and a microstrip line formed along E-plane of the waveguide, and which couples the waveguide state mode signal output from the antenna into a microstrip state mode signal through the coupling slot formed at the ground surface of the microstrip line, and transits the coupled signal; and a transmitting transition unit having a waveguide and a microstrip line formed along E-plane of the waveguide, and which couples the microstrip state mode signal into the waveguide state mode signal through the coupling slot, and transits and transmits the coupled signal to the antenna.
