PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply method by which the supply time and supply quantity of a solid lubricant are adjustable. SOLUTION: By detecting the substantial pressing pressure of the solid lubricant in the part of a roll while supplying the solid lubricant in accordance with preset supply speed to the part of the roll of a rolling mill which necessitates lubrication, when the substantial pressing pressure is raised or lowered than the pressing pressure which acts constant at the preset supply speed, the preset supply speed is decelerated or accelerated. Furthermore, by detecting the substantial displacing speed of the solid lubricant in the part of the roll while supply by pressing the solid lubricant in accordance with the preset pressing pressure to the part of the roll of the rolling mill which necessitates the lubrication when the substantial displacing speed is increased or decreased than the displaying speed which acts constant at the preset pressing pressure, the preset pressing pressure is lowered or raised. |
