PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismically isolated structure which is constructed by base-isolating an upper structure with an aspect ratio of 3 or more, by base isolators each formed of a laminated rubber bearing having extremely excellent properties. SOLUTION: The seismically isolated structure 1 is obtained in the following manner. A lower structure 5 is constructed on a foundation 2 with the plurality of base isolators 4 each formed of the laminated rubber bearing 3 interposed therebetween, and the upper structure 6 with the aspect ratio of 3 or more is constructed on the lower structure 5 in one body. Then, each laminated rubber bearing 3 has its upper end face 7 fixed to the lower structure 5 and its lower end face 8 fixed to the foundation 2, respectively. As a result, a combined structure 9 consisting of the upper structure 6 and the lower structure 5 is prevented from rolling caused by an overturning rotative moment Mh based on a horizontal force F applied to the combined structure 9.
