PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED display device performing an operation equal to a complex LED display device which is controlled by an existing computer (which includes a personal compute) with a small-scale microchip computer without using a computer. SOLUTION: This device in an LED display device in which the editing of characters and pictures is made to be performed by mounting only RAMs and a KANJI ROM on a one-chip microprocessor (a CPU, a CTC, an SIO, a PIO, RAMs and ROMs) and by connecting a keyboard to an interrupt port and, moreover, the LAN operation is made to be available by making the operation to be imputable in the SIO with an RS-232C by mounting a chip SW.
