PURPOSE: A receiving path calibration method and apparatus for controlling the power of a wireless base station is provided to exactly determine an AGC control voltage value for an actual receiving input level of a base station by carrying out calibration for an AFEU(Antenna Front-End Unit), a transceiver and a modem chip on a base station receiving path. CONSTITUTION: A BTU(Base station Test Unit)(700), comprising a test control board(720), a frequency synthesizer(712) and a VA(Variable Attenuator)(714), generates a single tone signal and inputs it to an AFEU(200). The AFEU(200) filters the single tone signal using a filter and executes low noise amplification for the signal through an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier). A transceiver(300) carries out frequency-down conversion for the output signal of the AFEU(200), variably attenuates the signal using a variable attenuator, splits it into an I signal and a Q signal, and outputs them. A modem chip(400), demodulating the output signals of the transceiver(300), determines a variable attenuation control voltage value for a variable attenuator in the transceiver(300) according to the power level and transfers the determined value to the variable attenuator in the transceiver(300).
