PURPOSE: A cooking apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to generate flavor according to the selected menu and to give an appetite, and to deodorize food flavor after cooking. CONSTITUTION: A cooking menu is selected by an operating part, and the food flavor is manufactured according to the selected cooking menu with mixing flavor sources stored in a flavor storage part by a control unit. The control unit shuts off a cooking chamber injection nozzle by operating a piston of a flavor injection part. The mixed food flavor is sprayed through a front injection nozzle for the outside of a body. The food is cooked by driving a magnetron and by injecting the food flavor with the control unit. The control unit shuts off the front injection nozzle by driving the piston of the flavor injection part in cooking, and sprays the food flavor into the cooking chamber through the cooking chamber injection nozzle. The deodorizing flavor is manufactured according to the selected food flavor with mixing flavor sources after cooking with the control unit, and injected through the front injection nozzle and the cooking chamber injection nozzle to eliminate remaining food smell.
