METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OBTAINING TWO-DIMENSIONAL HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGE

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus is provided to obtain a two-dimensional high resolution focused image in a short period of time without causing deterioration of quality of focused image by applying, to the measured data, an image restoration algorithm which does not utilize an interpolation algorithm. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(200) comprises a rotating unit(260) for rotating a target(280) in a non-linear manner; an RF signal generating unit(240) for generating the first signal for obtaining image of the target; a transmitting antenna(210) for transmitting the first signal to the target; a receiving antenna(220) for receiving the second signal reflected from the target; a frequency converting unit(230) for converting the first signal and second signal into the third signal and the fourth signal having different frequencies; and a system control and signal processing unit(250) for restoring images in accordance with third and fourth signals, and controlling the rotating unit. The system control and signal processing unit applies a two-dimensional fast Fourier transform(FFT) algorithm to the measured data without utilizing an interpolation algorithm.
