PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management method for address information, data communication equipment, a data communication method, and an address book server which eliminate a need of attempting fax transmission many times, by changing stored address information as required when changing address information like a telephone number which specifies data communication equipment as a transmission destination. SOLUTION: The management method for address information includes a request stage, where a management means which manages a database including address information of the data communication equipment as the transmission destination is requested to transmit the address information, a reception stage where address information transmitted by the management means is received, and an update stage, where address information stored in the data communication equipment as the transmission source is updated, on the basis of received address information.
