PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign language learning device which enables a Japanese to effectively practice the pronunciation of a foreign language. SOLUTION: The phonetic table in which the Japanese syllabary is expanded to include the consonants and vowels of the foreign language relating to the consonants and vowels and the model speeches corresponding thereto are stored in a data memory section 118 in the foreign language learning device 100. The results obtained by evaluating the speeches pronounced by the learner 2 by the speech recognition section 114 and arithmetic processing section 116 in the foreign language learning device 100 are displayed from a display device 120.
