<p>A gas spring having no gas charging valve, and a method of charging compressed gas into the gas charge chamber of the gas spring without using the gas charging valve; the gas spring (5), comprising a rod member (20), a cylinder main body (21), a gas charge chamber (22), first and second seal members (23, 24), a plurality of pin members (25), and a plurality of elongated holes (26), whereby, by using a gas charging jig (30), the compressed gas can be charged easily and surely into the gas charge chamber (22) even if the gas charging valve with a check valve is not installed in the gas spring (5) and, as a result, because the entire gas spring (5) can be formed in a structure symmetrical with respect to the axis of the rod member (20) and the gravity center of the gas spring can be set on the axis of the rod member (20), the cause of vibration of a spindle by the gas spring (5) can be eliminated.</p> |
