The gas sensor has a gas sensing element surrounded by a protector (2) which is covered by a protective cap (1). The cap has an exhaust hole (103) which provides communication between inside and outside of the cap. A tabular support (102) provided between protective cap and protector, is parallel to center axis of gas sensor.
