PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating hair so as to give glossiness, moisture, tension and the like to the hair, and to prevent the hair from splitting, and to improve slipperiness and combing property through smoothing the hair surface by heating the hair after applying a specific rinse composition to the hair. SOLUTION: Hair is heated after applying a rinse composition to the hair which contains (A) a sililated peptide shown by the formula (one or more of R1, R2 and R3 are each OH and the remainder is a 1-3C alkyl; R4 is a residual group except a terminal amino group of a basic amino acid having an amino group at a terminal end of a side chain; R5 is an amino acid side chain except R4; A is a bonding hand such as methylene or the like; p is 0-50; m and n are each 0-200 and m+n is 1-200, but m and n each represent only a number of an amino acid and do not represent the sequence of the amino acid), (B) a cationic surfactant, (C) a higher alcohol, (D) a non-volatile silicone existing as a dispersing molecule having less than 0.1-20μm average particle diameter and having >=5,000 CS viscosity at 25 deg.C and (E) an oil component such as fats and oils, wax, ester oils or the like.
