SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material for movie having high maximum density, less liable to the coloration of a white background and ensuring both aptitude for rapid processing and the enhancement of image quality. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photographic sensitive material has a non-photosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer containing a dispersion of solid fine particles of a dye of the formula D-(X)y (where D is the residue of a compound having a chromophore; X is dissociative hydrogen or a group having dissociative hydrogen; and (y) is an integer of 1-7) and a silver halide emulsion layer containing a cubic or tetradecahedral silver halide emulsion on the transparent base. The grains of the emulsion have >=95 mol% silver chloride content as a whole and contain 0.01-1 mol% silver iodide, a layer having the maximum silver iodide content is present nearer the surface of each of the grains and the total amount of silver used in the sensitive material is 1.0-3.0 g/m2.
