PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion equipment which emits less NOx by improving a combustor which employs a premixing and swirling combustion system. SOLUTION: The combustion equipment has a cylindrical combustion chamber 2 whose one side is open, and in the vicinity of the opening, a step 3 is provided to enlarge the opening. A copper pipe 5 is located at a position corresponding to the center axis of the combustion chamber 2. The diameter of the copper pipe 5 is shorter than the diameter of a swirling flame front 9. In a premixing and swirling combustor 1, water (heat medium) is passed through the copper pipe 5 during combustion. Accordingly, the center portion of the swirling flame, which conventionally had high temperature, is cooled by the water. Thus, high temperature region is reduced in the temperature distribution to restrain reproduction of NOx.
