PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a tatami shortening the machining time. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for the tatami, the tatami 6 is set on a flat-piercing/return-sewing machine, and the upper front of the tatami 6 is flat-pierced. The tatami 6 is rotated, and the lower front is flat-pierced. The tatami 6 is inclined, and the lower front side is return-sewn. The tatami 6 is made horizontal, rotated, positioned, and inclined, and the upper front is return-sewn.
