<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane separation method and a device therefor capable of sufficiently delaying clogging of a membrane element. SOLUTION: This membrane separation method uses a membrane separation device 1 provided with a treating tank 10 into which a water W to be treated is fed and also biological sludge N is introduced, a planar membrane 11 by which membrane separation of the water W to be treated present in the treating tank 10 is performed, and a sludge load control means for controlling a sludge load by calculating the sludge load in the water W to be treated based on BOD and a MLVSS quantity in the water W to be treated present in the treating tank 10, and adjusting the BOD and/or the MLVSS quantity based on the calculated value of this sludge load. While the sludge load of the water W to be treated is controlled, the membrane separation is performed by a sludge load control process for controlling the sludge load within a specified range by using this membrane separation device 1.</p> |
