PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor whose processing time is fast and which needs only small storage capacity. SOLUTION: This processor is provided with a binary converting means 4 for converting prescribed-notation number data having various values into a binary, a grouping means 7 for grouping data into a set where a prescribed bit of the binary is one and a set where a prescribed bit of the binary is zero, and a means 5 for converting the binary into a prescribed-notation number, and arranges data converted into the prescribed-notation number in descending order by grouping an upper-order bit of the binary and sequentially grouping a lower-order bit.
