PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor grommet having no risk of straining a surface layer material, even if it is used for a panel with an intermediate layer having small compression proof stress. SOLUTION: This anchor grommet 1 secured to a body to be mounted by screwing a tapping screw comprises an outer grommet 2 to be inserted in a prepared hole H bored in advance in the body to be mounted and a pair of inner anchors 3 received movably in an axial direction and a diameter direction in a slot 4 formed in the outer grommet, while passing through the center axis of the outer grommet in the diameter direction, and the outer diameter of the inner anchor becomes equal to or less than the outer diameter of the anchor grommet, before the tapping screw is screwed in, and it gets larger than the outer diameter of the outer grommet, after the tapping screw is screwed in. Thereby, if the tapping screw is screwed in, the pair of inner anchors moves outward in the diameter direction in the slot of the outer grommet and their peripheral surfaces are brought into pressure contact with the inner peripheral surface of the prepared hole. Therefore, the anchor grommet is securedly mounted to the body. |
