PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast video-recording device which can digitally record a desired part of a digital program without any trouble such as the absence of the beginning. SOLUTION: An ES discrimination and plural-ES supply part 8 detects the number and/or kind of elementary streams included in a stream in a time- division multiplexed state outputted by a demultiplexer 3 and supplies the detection result to a controller 7. The controller 7 decides whether or not a part is an object part or not from the detection result from the ES discrimination and plural-ES supply part 8 and outputs information (track number, start information, and end information) needed for tracking to a video-recording processing part 9 according to the decision. The video-recording processing part 9 inserts and records the information needed for tracking when recording the stream in the time-division multiplexed state supplied from the ES discrimination and plural-ES supply part 8. A reproduction processing part 12 performs processing such as reproduction of only the object part.
