PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a cuff part located on the reverse side of a sewn junction part rises toward the reverse side of clothes from the junction part in the sewing of the clothes, a recess is generated at the butt part of the clothes near the junction part viewed from the surface side of the clothes for spoiling appearance, and creasing machining to the sewing margin for reducing the recess takes much labor and time. SOLUTION: In the setting method of cloth for forming a sewing margin to prevent the end part of cloth from becoming loose, providing a cuff part including at least the sewing margin, and gluing and fixing the cuff part to the cloth, sewing thread being exposed to one cloth surface side of the sewing margin is set to thermal fusion string, and the thermal fusion string and the cloth are thermally bonded.
