PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic meter reading system capable of efficiently exchanging gas bottles. SOLUTION: This automatic meter reading system is provided with an automatic signaling device 3 and a personal computer 4, and the personal computer 4 has a predicting means for predicting a time when gas residual quantity in a gas bottle 1 reaches a set value for prediction. Then, in this automatic meter reading system, it is possible to predict a gas bottle exchange time and to make a delivery plan of the gas bottles so as to simultaneously exchange the gas bottles 1 of a plurality of houses on the basis of the predicted value so that the gas bottles 1 can efficiently be exchanged by setting the time when the gas residual quantity reaches the set value for prediction as the set value for prediction so as to be proper as a gas bottle exchange time.
