PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver for automatically setting the recording reservation of a program having the same contents and broadcast in a different broadcasting time as a recording-reserved program band in the case that recording of the recording-reserved program is not normally performed. SOLUTION: This receiver is provided with a decision means for deciding whether the recording of the recording-reserved program is normally performed, a means for retrieving the recordable broadcasting of the programs of the same contents as the recording-reserved program in a different broadcasting time band and a means for automatically setting the recording reservation of the retrieved identical program.
