PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously perform deodorization of an evaporator or the like and removal of dirt or mold in a simple structure, in an air conditioner for a vehicle having a blowing fan, the evaporator, an air mix damper, and a heater in an air ventilation passage in a easing. SOLUTION: A cleaning nozzle is provided facing to an inlet face of the evaporator at an upstream position of the evaporator in the air ventilation passage leading from an air suction inlet to an air blowing outlet. Cleaning fluid is supplied from the cleaning nozzle toward the inlet face of the evaporator, rubbish or dust adhered and accumulated onto a fin or the like disposed on the inlet face are removed by cleaning, and occurrence of off flavor or mold is prevented.
