PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control operation of the heater of a portable cooking stove appliance without manually operating a control part for a burner when a cooker his or her hands full and from a remote place and to prevent the occurrence of the operation miss of the cooker, in a portable gas cooking stove. SOLUTION: A sound signal control unit 15 is annexed to a control unit 14 of a portable gas cooking stove 1 having a burner 2. In this case, a sound signal control unit consists of a memory 151 to store at least a single sound signal for control corresponding to given operation of a heater, a sound signal input part 152, a sound signal recognizing part 153 to recognize an inputted sound signal, and a sound signal collating part 154 to collate a recognized sound signal with a sound signal for control in a memory. When a sound signal recognized by the sound signal recognizing part coincides with a stored sound signal through collation by the sound signal collating part during inputting of a sound, a control unit controls operation of a burner in correspondence with the sound signal.
