PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a junction device for wood building which can be installed inside a post or a horizontal member with a sufficient strength by only applying work of forming slits or grooves which can be easily formed to the post or horizontal member by means of a general tool for woodwork using power, and a junction structure using that. SOLUTION: Using a junction device 101 for building comprising an installation member 5 comprising a metal plate body fixed to a tip of a rod-shaped or cylindrical metal support 4, end surfaces of right and left horizontally extended horizontal members 2 positioned to an upper or a lower end surface of a post 1 are brought into contact with each other, an engagement hole 3 passing the center of the post 1 from the end surface is formed in the end surface of the post 1, the support 4 is inserted into it to be engaged, an engagement slit 6 is formed in the length direction of the horizontal member 2 at a cut end of the horizontal member 2, and an installation piece 5A of the installation member 5 is inserted into this to be engaged, thereby the post 1, horizontal member 2 and junction device 101 are jointed with each other to be fixed through a fixing member 7.
